Get Back Your Beautiful Smile with Affordable Dental Implants in Leeds
Do you keep your mouth closed in photos because of a missing tooth? Or do you avoid eating certain foods because your denture doesn’t feel secure?
If you’ve tried a bridge or denture and still want something that looks and feels more like your own teeth, a dental implant may be the answer. Implants are fixed into the jawbone, so they stay firmly in place and let you eat, speak and smile with confidence.
We replace a single missing tooth, several teeth, or a full arch, and we’ll recommend the option that best suits your mouth and budget.
Treatment steps
Book your consultation: Call us or book online to discuss your options with our implant dentist.
Assessment and plan: We examine your teeth and gums, take X-rays, and give you a written treatment plan with full fees.
Implant placement: Your implant is placed under local anaesthetic, then given time to heal and bond with the bone.
Your new tooth: We fit your custom-made crown so you can eat and smile with confidence.
A dental implant is a small titanium post that is placed into the jawbone to act as an artificial tooth root. Titanium is used because the body tolerates it very well. Over the following months, the bone grows around and bonds to the implant, a process called osseointegration, which creates a strong, fixed foundation.
A small connector called an abutment is then attached to the implant, and your custom-made crown is fitted on top. Unlike a removable denture, an implant stays securely in place, so there’s no slipping when you eat or speak.
Implants can replace a single tooth, support a bridge where several teeth are missing, or hold a full arch of teeth for patients missing most or all of their teeth.
What Does Dental Implant Treatment Involve?
Assessment and planning
We first check that implants are right for you by looking at your general health, your gums and the amount of bone in your jaw. We take X-rays and digital scans so your implant can be planned precisely. If there isn’t quite enough bone, we may recommend a bone graft first, and we’ll explain this and its cost before anything goes ahead.
Placing the implant
The implant is placed into your jawbone under local anaesthetic, so the area is completely numb. Most single implants take around 60–90 minutes. If you feel anxious, just let us know and we’ll talk through ways to help you feel more comfortable.
Healing
The implant then needs around 3–6 months to bond with the bone. During this time, we fit a temporary tooth to protect your gum and keep your smile looking natural.
Fitting your crown
Once healing is complete, we attach the abutment and fit your permanent crown, matched to the shape and shade of your natural teeth. There’s nothing quite like seeing your new smile for the first time!

FAQs
What are dental implants?
A dental implant is an artificial tooth root, usually made of titanium, that is placed into the jawbone. Once it has bonded with the bone, it can support a crown, a bridge or a denture that looks and feels like natural teeth.
Do dental implants look natural?
Yes. The crown that sits on your implant is custom-made to match the colour, shape and size of your surrounding teeth, so it blends in naturally with your smile.
Is the dental implant procedure painful?
The procedure itself shouldn’t hurt. We always use local anaesthetic, so your mouth is completely numb throughout. [If confirmed: If you’re anxious, we can also offer sedation to help you relax.] Afterwards, it’s normal to feel some tenderness or mild swelling as your mouth heals. Paracetamol or ibuprofen usually manages this, and it should settle within a few days.
How long does dental implant treatment take?
Most patients have their permanent tooth fitted 3–6 months after the implant is placed, because the bone needs time to bond securely with the implant. The placement itself takes around 60–90 minutes. In some cases, an implant can be placed at the same appointment as the tooth is removed (an immediate implant), which shortens treatment. This depends on the health of the surrounding bone and gum, and we’ll explain the pros and cons for you.
What if I don’t have enough bone for a dental implant?
You may still be able to have an implant. When a tooth is lost, the jawbone in that area slowly shrinks because there’s no root to stimulate it, which is especially common after years of wearing dentures. We can often rebuild the bone with a bone graft. If the gap is in the upper back jaw, close to the sinus, a sinus lift may be needed to create enough height. Your X-rays will show whether you need either.
Do I still need to visit my implant dentist in Guiseley during the implant healing process?
Yes, you should still go to your regular dental check-ups and take care of your teeth as usual. Healthy teeth and gums help your implant heal faster and with fewer problems. It is also important to protect the healing area from bacteria, so the implant can become strong and work properly.
How long do dental implants last?
With good care, implants can last for many years, often decades, because they bond directly with the jawbone. The crown on top may need replacing after around 10–15 years due to everyday wear. Implants can’t decay, but the gum and bone around them can become inflamed (a condition called peri-implantitis) if plaque builds up. Brushing twice daily, cleaning between your teeth and regular hygienist visits will help your implant last.
Can anyone get dental implants?
Most adults in good general health can have implants, and there’s no upper age limit. Implants are usually placed once the jaw has stopped growing, from around 18. We’ll also check your gum health and bone levels, and ask about smoking or conditions such as diabetes, which can affect healing. Low bone can often be rebuilt with grafting, and many older patients choose implants to replace loose dentures.
Why should I get dental implants?
For many people, implants are the most secure long-term way to replace missing teeth. Unlike dentures or bridges, they help prevent bone loss in the jaw, which supports your facial structure and stops dentures becoming loose over time. If you’re missing a single tooth, it’s worth replacing it sooner rather than later, because neighbouring teeth can drift into the gap and affect your bite.
What is the difference between dental implants vs dentures?
Implants are fixed into the jawbone and don’t move, while dentures are removable and rest on the gums, so they can slip when eating or talking. Dentures cost less upfront (from £1,200 for a partial denture here), while implants offer more stability and help protect the jawbone. You can also combine both: implant-retained dentures use implants to hold a denture firmly in place. We’ll recommend the best option for your mouth and budget.
How much do dental implants cost in Guiseley?
At One Two Three Dental, a single implant costs from £2,095, and a full arch of implant-supported teeth starts from £16,995. Prices are the same for members and non-members. Across the UK, a complete single implant typically costs £1,800–£3,500. Your final price depends on the number of teeth, whether you need a bone graft, and the type of restoration, and you’ll get a written quote before treatment begins. 0% finance is available.
